Reeva Steenkamp autopsy: What was Reeva Steenkamp’s cause of death?
The South-African model was shot and killed by her boyfriend, former South African Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, ten years ago.
“People who have lost children, it takes a long time for you to settle down and to get to know that they’re not going to be around anymore,” June Steenkamp stated this on Valentine’s Day during an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
“We just love her so much and miss her. Part of our life is gone. We will see her one day, but that’s what we look forward to.”
In the early hours of February 14, 2013, Pistorius shot Steenkamp, a model and law school graduate, at his home in an upscale Pretoria neighborhood.
He claimed the death was an accident after mistaking Steenkamp for an intruder, but the prosecution claimed it was a premeditated act following an argument between the two.
