Kaley Christine Cuoco is an American actress.
After a series of supporting film and television roles in the late 1990s, she landed her breakthrough role as Bridget Hennessy on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules (2002–2005).
Cuoco was born in Camarillo, California, the eldest daughter of homemaker Layne Ann and broker Gary Carmine Cuoco.
Her father is of Italian ancestry, and her mother is of English and German background. Briana, her sister, is an actress and singer who appeared in The Voice’s fifth season and had recurring roles on the HBO Television series The Flight Attendant and Harley Quinn as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. Cuoco was a ranked amateur (aspiring) tennis player as a child, a sport she began when she was three years old. She quit playing when she was 16 to pursue a career in acting.
