Margaret Anne Lake, best known by her stage name Mystic Meg, was an English astrologer who had a regular astrology column in The Sun and the News of the World. She also hosted Mystic Meg’s Wheel of Destiny for Sun Bingo.

Iconic astrologer Mystic Meg has passed away aged 80 following a short illness. Real name Margret Lake, the popular fortune-teller first rose to fame for her stint on the National Lottery, as reported by the Mirror.

In a statement issued by Margret’s agent, Dave Shapland, he said: “Without any question, she was Britain’s most famous astrologer by a million miles. She even became part of the English language,  if a politician, somebody from showbiz, or ordinary people in the street are asked a tricky question they will say.

The astrologer had written daily horoscopes for The Sun for nearly 23 years. According to the paper, she was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London last month suffering from flu. On Thursday morning (March 9), she passed away at 3.3.45 amber cause of death is yet to be revealed. The beloved mystic was born July 27, 1942, and raised in Lancashire. She quickly found a passion for astrology after being taught the subject by her grandmother.
