American bodybuilder, actor, and model Ed Fury (born Rupert Edmund Holovchik; June 6, 1928 – February 24, 2023) passed away on February 24.
He is most known for starring in a series of “sword-and-sandal” flicks in the 1950s and 1960s.
Early in the 1970s, Fury resumed acting and largely made cameos in television shows.

On February 24, 2023, at the age of 94, Fury passed away at his home in the Los Angeles district of Woodland Hills the actual cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. His wife Shelly was left behind.
In the following years, Fury stayed out of the spotlight but nevertheless made a number of public appearances.
As part of the Labor Day events that year, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks honored Fury on September 3, 2001, at Venice Beach. Gordon Mitchell, Mark Forest, Mickey Hargitay, Brad Harris, Richard Harrison, Reg Lewis, and Peter Lupus also attended the ceremony honoring local bodybuilders who had made a significant contribution to the film business.
At the “Swords & Sandals” festival, which was held by the UCLA Cinema and Television Archive in July 2003, Hargitay, Mitchell, and Fury once more shared the stage.
