Thomas Ross Whitlock, popularly known as Tom Whitlock was an American songwriter and musician born in 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, United States.

He is a famous American songwriter and musician who is best known for his Academy Award-and Golden Globe-winning song “Take My Breath Away”, from the film Top Gun, which he co-wrote with Giorgio Moroder.

Sadly, the famous American songwriter and musician is no more since he was reported dead on  February 17, 2023, in Tennessee, United States. Many have been wanting to know more about his death, especially the cause of it.

As previously stated, Whitlock died in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 18, 2023, at the age of 68. According to the information gathered, he passed away following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He is a graduate who attended both high school and college. He attended Glendale High School and Drury University respectively.
