Rapper Dion Marquise Hayes, better known by his stage name 42 Dugg, was born on November 25, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan.
He has a combined recording contract with Interscope Records and the record companies 4 Pockets Full (4PF) and Collective Music Group (CMG), which are owned by the rappers Lil Baby and Yo Gotti, respectively. His work with Lil Baby includes the songs “Grace” and “We Paid,” the latter of which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. He is well-recognized for these collaborations.
His second mixtape, Young & Turnt 2, received praise and made his Top 200 debut. Free Dem Boys, his fourth mixtape, was released in 2021 and peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200.
How did 42 Dugg start rapping?
He started rapping when he was detained and pursued it more seriously after being released. In January 2018, he released his debut song, “Mom I’m Sorry.”
From then, the rapper rose swiftly, releasing a number of projects on his own, including the 11241 Wayburn mixtapes.
