American stand-up comedian and actor Cedric Antonio Kyles, better known by his stage as Cedric the Entertainer, was born on April 24, 1964. He hosted Def Comedy Jam in 1995 and BET’s ComicView in the 1993–1994 season.

He is best known as one of The Original Kings of Comedy and for playing Eddie Walker in the WB comedy Barbershop.
He also co-starred with Steve Harvey on The Steve Harvey Show. He acted in the TV Land original series The Soul Man, which ran from 2012 to 2016, and hosted the 12th season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in the Daytime in 2013–2014.
