José Fernández death: Why did José Fernández crash his boat?

On September 25, 2016, news of José Fernández’s death was heard all over as it came as a shock to everyone, especially his fans. José Fernández had died in a boat crash in Maimi Florida.

According to sources, Fernandez was legally drunk, and had cocaine in his system. He was behind the wheel when the boat crashed, overturned, and killed two others including him. The other two men were identified as Eduardo Rivero and Emilio Jesus Macias.

The Florida officials said they found that his recklessness and impaired driving led the vessel to slam into a rock jetty.

The report concludes, “Fernandez’s impairment and manner of operation caused the accident,” and charged that the player violated multiple boating and safety laws, including Boating Under the Influence Manslaughter, Vessel Homicide, and Reckless or Careless Operation of a Vessel.
