Since June 2017, Sam Stein has been a Political Editor at The Daily Beast. Stein leads the political team’s coverage of the White House, congress and national politics – working alongside Washington, D.C.. Bureau Chief Jackie Kucinich. Sam Stein (Journalist) previously spent ten years working for HuffPost. He was one of the first reporters when it launched its D.C. bureau in 2007.
After covering Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, Stein served as the site’s White House Correspondent and in 2009 became the first online reporter to ask the President of the United States a question during a White House news conference.
