Ryan Suter, an American professional ice hockey defenceman with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League, was born on January 21, 1985.
He has previously played for the Minnesota Wild and the Nashville Predators.

Gary Suter, Suter’s uncle, was a longstanding star in the NHL. At the Winter Olympics in 2010, Suter served as the U.S. team’s alternate captain and won a silver medal.
