Did Macaulay Culkin leave his parents?
Macaulay Carson Culkin was born on August 26, 1980, in New York City to Christopher Cornelius “Kit” Culkin, a former stage actor, and Patricia Brentrup, a native of North Dakota. The duo in 1974 while Kit was working as a road traffic controller in Sundance, Wyoming.
During Culkin’s early childhood, the family lived together in a small apartment in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan and struggled financially. His mother worked as a telephone operator and his father was a sacristan at a local Catholic church.
According to several reports gathered, Culkin’s parents never married; they split when Culkin was in his teens, and his mother filed for custody and he was in support of his mum. He later effectively ‘divorced’ both his parents when they began fighting over his fortune. He sued his parents for £ 13 million when he was just 15 years old and had them removed as his legal guardians, meaning they had no control over his career or money.
Since then, he has been estranged from his father since.
