American actor Harrison Ford was conceived on July 13, 1942, at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was the first announcer for WMTH, the school’s radio station at the time, while attending Maine East High School in Park Ridge. After graduating, he submitted an application to Wisconsin-based, private liberal arts college Ripon College, where he majored in philosophy and was heavily involved in the school’s Sigma Nu fraternity.
