Known professionally as Darlene Love, Darlene Wright was born in the United States on July 26, 1941.
She recorded both as a solo performer and as the main vocalist of the girl group the Blossoms.
She grew up listening to gospel music and was an active member of her church because she was a minister’s daughter. At age ten, Wright in Hawthorne, California, started singing in the community church chorus. The choir’s conductor, Cora Martin-Moore, saw her during practice.
She was asked to go to the Music Mart after performing for Martin-Moore, where she performed various broadcasts while singing. [6] She was greatly influenced to pursue a career in music by her first musical experience, which was also her main inspiration.
Love was selected for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on December 15, 2010, and this news was released. Love received a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction on March 14, 2011.
