As the half-brother of Goldust, Cody formerly competed in WWE wrestling for ten years, from 2006 to 2016, going under the ring moniker Stardust. He held the Intercontinental championship twice during that time period and won the tag team championships six times. He did, however, ask for his release in 2016. WWE fans were shocked when Rhodes made a comeback and defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
