The “2022 Overseas Hallyu Wave Survey,” which was conducted on April 15 by the KOFICE (Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, was unveiled on April 23.
This study specifically demonstrated how K-pop consumption changed over the course of the year based on big data gathered from consumer surveys and statistical data pertaining to the export of Hallyu content.
According to the survey, BTS, a group that has won two Grammy Awards in a row, came in first place among foreigners’ preferred Korean vocalists.
The septet took first place in the country-by-country competition for the best Korean singer/group with a commanding 26.7% of the vote.
