Where did Fiona Apple go to college and high school?

Fiona Apple, a former singing prodigy in her teens, attended St. Hilda’s and St. Hugh’s School. Apple started taking Model Mugging courses and learning self-defense, but she continued to have panic attacks as she walked home from school, so she moved to Los Angeles for a year to live with her father. Apple spent her second year of high school at Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles.

Apple claimed in a 2000 interview that she did not compose songs about the trauma associated with her rape, despite claims made by journalists to the contrary: “It is not written into the text. It is a tedious torture. There is nothing romantic about it because it is such an old grief.”
