Ke Huy Quan born August 20, 1971, sometimes known as Jonathan Ke Quan is a Vietnamese-American stuntman and actor. Quan starred as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) and as Data in The Goonies.
He abandoned acting due to a lack of prospects after parts in the sitcom Head of the Class and the feature Encino Man and earned a film degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He later worked as a stunt coordinator and an assistant director.
Quan speaks English, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Mandarin fluently. He is a Vietnamese-American of Han Chinese origin (particularly from Vietnam’s Chinese Hoa minority). Quan is a married man who lives in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. He remains close to his Goonies co-star Jeff Cohen, who also serves as Quan’s entertainment lawyer.
