Elena Huelva (21 May 2002 – 3 January 2023) was a Spanish writer and influencer.
Huelva had Ewing sarcoma, which he was diagnosed with when he was 16 years old. She rose to prominence as a result of her social media posts about her sickness. She also advocated for cancer research and coined the phrase “Mis ganas ganan” to characterize her own battle with the disease. She published the book in 2022 “My wishes come true. Nobody has promised us a future, so we must live in the present “, in which she discussed her cancer experience. Huelva passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 20.
Ewing sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in bone or soft tissue. Symptoms may include swelling and pain at the tumor’s location, fever, and a bone fracture. The legs, pelvis, and chest wall are the most common places where it begins. At the time of diagnosis, cancer has progressed to other regions of the body in around 25% of patients. Complications may include a pleural effusion or paraplegia.
