American actor and director Taylor Sheridan was born on May 21, 1970. Sheridan originally rose to fame for his performances as Danny Boyd in Veronica Mars and David Hale in the FX television series Sons of Anarchy (2005–2007).
Sheridan has authored the script for a number of movies, including the 2015 picture Sicario, for which he was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay. For Hell or High Water (2016), which received three additional Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, he received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
Sheridan also penned the 2018 Sicario sequel in addition to writing and directing the 2017 neo-Western crime drama Wind River. He co-created the criminal thriller Mayor of Kingstown, as well as the television series Yellowstone on the Paramount Network and its prequels 1883 and 1923. Along with Terence Winter, he co-created the crime drama Tulsa King, which they both showrun.
Sheridan entered the Hall of Fame in 2021.
