American football wide receiver and return specialist Andre McXavier Roberts was born on January 9, 1988. He plays for the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers (NFL). He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft while playing college football at The Citadel. In addition, Roberts has played for the Los Angeles Chargers, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and Buffalo Bills.
attended Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina, where he excelled in both football and track. Roberts is originally from Fairbanks. He led the Vikings to the regional title and the state semifinals as a senior while receiving All-Region and All-Area recognition. Roberts earned a letter in track and field in addition to football while he was a student at Spring Valley. As a senior, the year he was named All-State, he helped his team to a second-place finish and the state championship in 2003. In the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter dash, he recorded personal-best times of 11.2; 21.91; and 48.60, respectively.
