In a tribute to the late football superstar Pelé, Samuel Eto’o Fils has joined world leaders and sports officials.
The president of FECAFOOT stated in a tweet shortly after it was revealed that the football legend had passed away:
Eto’o Fils then posted photos of himself and Pelé on social media.
“Today we say goodbye to the best of all time. Rest in eternal peace, Pelé, you will be missed by millions and millions. Legend.”

Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, is one of the football officials that paid respect to the late Pele.
“For everyone who loves the beautiful game, this is the day we never wanted to come. The day we lost Pelé,” said the FIFA President.
One year after his cancer surgery, on December 30, 2022, Pelé passed away.
