Toby Wroughton Craig CMG (born 2 March 1968) is an English-American actor most known as James Bond in the movie series starting with Casino Royale (2006) and continuing through No Time to Die (2021).
Craig started his career on stage in 1991 after receiving training at the National Youth Theatre in London and graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His first acting roles were in the family picture A Kid in King Arthur’s Court (1995) and the drama The Power of One (1992), but his breakthrough performance was in the drama series Our Friends in the North (1996).
He rose to fame for his supporting parts in movies including Munich (2004), Layer Cake (2004), Road to Perdition (2002), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), and Elizabeth (1998). (2005).
Craig was nominated for a BAFTA Award for his performance as James Bond in Casino Royale (2006). He has also appeared in the fantasy film The Golden Compass (2007) and the mystery thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and the heist film Logan Lucky (2017).
