In Washington, DC, Takara was the second youngest child.
She never had a political interest, therefore she spent most of her teens as a student-athlete with wishful fantasies of being an Olympic gymnast and lawyer.
At the age of 7, Takara made her stage debut as “Orchid” in the Rose Petal’s Place performance at her school. She had no intention of becoming an actor, though. She actually feared speaking in front of crowds and was bashful, thus her “gripping performance” did not alter this.

She didn’t realize she was onto something until she did a brief play in her high school social studies class. The teacher urged Takara to sign up for her Drama class the following semester right after that class. She explored the arts for the rest of her high school career and found she was particularly talented in the performing arts.
After graduating from college and spending less than a year in the workforce, Takara made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia in order to pursue a career as an actor. Since her relocation, she has been breaking new ground in Atlanta’s theater, television, and film scenes.
Takara is working diligently to build her production firm and produce a web series that she wrote in addition to acting. She was given a role in Devious Maids in 2014.
