Anthony Reynolds is a musician from Wales. He has performed as a solo performer and with his bands Jack and Jacques. Reynolds relocated to London in 1993, where he created the band Jack, on lead vocals, and signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music and a record deal with the independent label Too Pure.

Jack recorded three full-length albums, the first two of which, Pioneer Soundtracks (1996) and The Jazz Age (1998), received rave reviews and ranked high in critics’ end-of-the-year surveys. Despite an extraordinarily favorable critical response and extensive UK and European touring, sales for both tracks were ultimately dismal. No Jack record ever made the UK Top 40 singles or album charts.

The End of the Way It’s Always Been, the third album, was released on the Les Disques du Crépuscule label. Collaborations on the album included writer/musician Kirk Lake and American poet, novelist, and screenwriter Dan Fante (son of John Fante). The album was supported by a lengthy European tour. The album received fewer favorable reviews in the United Kingdom than the first two Jack albums, but it was a huge success in France.

Jack also collaborated on a five-track EP titled ‘La Belle et la Discothèque’ with ex-Cocteau Twins bassist Simon Raymonde, son of arranger Ivor Raymonde.
