When it was revealed that Kim Cattrall wouldn’t be appearing in the And Just Like That revival, it sent shockwaves across the Sex and the City fandom.
Many people are concerned that her ongoing conflict with her former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker is the primary cause of her absence. Kim won’t be playing the same part again, though, for reasons unrelated to their tense relationship.
Why did Kim Cattrall quit Sex and the City?
Since the early 2000s, there have been rumors of tension between the two co-stars. However, things heated up in 2018 when Kim attacked Sarah on social media.
Kim reportedly received sympathy from Sarah following the passing of Chris Cattrall, Kim’s brother. In response, Kim wrote a lengthy Instagram post and tagged the Emmy winner in it.
Apart from the animosity with her co-star, Kim gave career advancement as the reason she decided not to play Samantha Jones again in any projects.
