Cue Card was a British Thoroughbred racehorse who lived from 30 April 2006 to 23 December 2022. He was a specialist in the steeplechase and won fifteen of his thirty-three contests, nine of which were Grade I competitions.
At the Cheltenham Festival, he won the Champion Bumper and was a standout in National Hunt flat events. He had less success when faced with barriers but excelled when faced with bigger challenges. In the 2012–13 National Hunt season, he won the Haldon Gold Cup, the Ascot Chase, the Ryanair Chase, and the Betfair Chase. In the 2013–14 season, he won the Betfair Chase.
The 2014–15 season was his first without a victory, but following a wind operation in the summer of 2015, he returned the following year to win King George VI Chase at his fourth attempt and to score his second victory in the Betfair Chase. In the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup, he fell while still in the race, but he soon got back on track by winning the Betfred Bowl on his next outing.
Cue Card won the Grade One Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in 2010. The gelding was moved up in class and distance for King George VI Chase. Cue Card bounced back in the Betfred Bowl Chase at Aintree a few weeks later.
