Rapper Big Scarr, whose real name is Alexander Woods, hails from Memphis, Tennessee. He is an artist on Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label.

One of his most well-known tracks, “SoIcyBoyz 2,” was co-written by him with Tay Keith, Foogiano, and Pooh Shiesty. On April 16, 2021, he dropped his debut mixtape, Big Grim Reaper. The album’s position on the Billboard 200 chart peaked at number 25.

Before releasing his debut mixtape, 2021’s Big Grim Reaper, which included Gucci, Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and producer Tay Keith, Big Scarr made a guest appearance on So Icy Gang, Vol. 1 from 1017.

At its height, the project was ranked number one on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart and number 25 on Billboard’s Hot 200 album chart.

Woods died after a heroin overdose on December 22, 2022. After learning about Big Scarr’s passing, rapper Gucci Mane, who served as his manager, posted on Instagram: “This hurt 😢 I’m a miss you @bigscarr 💔”.
