Despite the horrible atrocities committed by notorious serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer taking place more than 20 years ago, the bodies are still being brought up in Netflix’s newest limited series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

The documentary series explores how Jeffrey Dahmer attracted young men to his houses and even a hotel room, where he then killed and dismembered them. According to Biography.com, Jeffrey frequently had sex with his victims’ bodies before the dismemberment started, and he kept mementos of his crimes—skulls, genitalia, and more—in his house.

Because Jeffrey Dahmer had trouble falling asleep, he sought out sleeping pills. Halcion, a medication containing the sedative triazolam, was recommended by doctors.

To render his victims helpless, Dahmer used his prescribed drugs. He would pulverize pills containing temazepam and triazolam, two sleep aids, and add the powder to the victim’s beverage.

Dahmer would either execute the victim or have them undergo brain surgery after they had passed out. In his attempts to make some of his victims into zombies, Dahmer drilled holes in their skulls and administered diluted acid to their brains.

Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer lured 17 victims to his house where he drugged and then killed them; these victims were often young, gay guys. Triazolam and temazepam were unique but frequent components of his killing regimen.
