Kwaw Kese has requested that the police stop arresting marijuana (or “weed”) smokers and instead focus on pressing issues that require attention in memory of his late manager.
Five years after Fennec Okyere was murdered at his Spintex Road home, he wants the perpetrators of his late manager to be prosecuted.
In a Wednesday interview with Neat FM, Kwaw Kese questioned why, in the twenty-first century, authorities continue to detain those who use marijuana recreationally or commercially while several murderers continue to roam free.
“The Ghana Police is not trustworthy. The last time I saw the police, they were following me while I was heading for an interview. When I stopped, they informed me that they wanted to search my car for marijuana. In the meantime, my manager Fennec Okyere has been murdered inexplicably, and the police aren’t even trying to look into it or catch the killers, he bemoaned.
The ‘Yakubu’ rapper continued, “It is so painful that we choose to ignore important concerns in favor of focusing on unimportant things. The heads of institutions, who should be focusing on more vital matters, are instead doing the reverse.
Kwaw Kese pleaded with the authorities to stop these pointless actions and concentrate on “doing investigations when concerns emerge. What matters most is that.
The rapper also used social media to pay tribute to his late boss, who was brutally murdered and for whom he has still not fully recovered.
“You’ll never be forgotten #rip Fennec #itsbeen5years,” he captioned the photo of the late Fennec Okyere.
