When Mike was just four years old, he was first exposed to music.
He started off playing the banjo before moving on to the guitar, piano, percussion, and The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. At the age of thirteen, he formed his first band. He began writing his own songs after getting bored with playing covers.
He had written a lot of songs by the time he was in his late teens. At the age of twenty, he signed a publishing and recording contracts with Carlin Music and Phonogram Records, respectively. Mike decided to enter one of his songs in the Eurovision Song Contest because he is not one to sit back and wait for things to happen.
The song peaked at number 12 both domestically and internationally. Success after success came. Mike has amassed over 40 million record sales, 75 single and album singles (his most well-known work is the song I’m In The Mood For Dancing), a string of chart achievements, and other accolades from the music industry.
