American actress Diane McBain, who was born on May 18, 1941, briefly achieved prominence in the early 1960s as a Warner Brothers contract player.

Diane McBain was born in Cleveland, Ohio. McBain initially moved to the Hollywood area. McBain began her career in the entertainment sector as a teen model for print and television advertisements.

While appearing in a Los Angeles play during her senior year of high school, she was spotted by a Warner Bros talent scout and added to the studio’s roster of contract actors.

She gained notoriety for her portrayal as an adventurous socialite in Surfside 6 (1960–1962) and as one of Elvis Presley’s leading ladies in Spinout (1966).

In 1982, McBain was attacked, robbed, and raped by two men in her garage in West Hollywood at roughly 1:30 in the morning on Christmas Day after coming home from a party. She began her career as a rape victim counsellor.

The criminals were never found. In 1990, she claimed that the shock of what had happened had left her forgetful, unfocused, and still excessively startled.

McBain, a lifelong resident of the Motion Picture Country Home in Los Angeles, California, passed suddenly from liver cancer on the morning of December 21, 2022. She was 81.
