Marisha Wallace, an American actress, is best known for her work in musical theater. Wallace was in the original Broadway shows Aladdin (2014) and Something Rotten as a member of the ensemble and an understudy!
In the West End production of Dreamgirls, she began stepping in as Effie White in January 2017. She has made a name for herself in both the music and movie industries.
Wallace shared the role with Karen Mav and Moya Angela after Amber Riley quit the production. In 2017, she issued the holiday-themed album Soul Holiday. In the Waitress’ original London cast in 2019, she took on the role of Becky.
In the summer of 2021, she appeared in the London Coliseum version of Hairspray as Motormouth Maybelle opposite Michael Ball.
