With approximately 250 film and television credits amassed over the course of his nearly 50-year career, Christopher Lloyd has enjoyed great success in the entertainment industry. His most well-known performance, though, was as the eccentric Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, starring opposite Michael J. Fox.
Though Lloyd appeared in many other films and television shows, such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Clue, The Addams Family, and Taxi (for which he won two consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series), it is unquestionably his role as Doc that will always be associated with his name.

She divorced him in 1971. Christopher’s union with Catherine Boyd lasted 12 years, making it his second-longest union behind Kay and Jane. Catherine is also an actress, however she hasn’t had any jobs listed since the late 1990s.
She is recognized for her performances in the films “Checkmates (2001)”, “When It’s Over (1998)”, and “Girls Town (1996).”
Boyd filed a lawsuit against Lloyd for failing to respect their divorce agreement, which required him to continue paying her alimony until either she got remarried or passed away.
Boyd, unfortunately for Lloyd, never got remarried and is still alive today. Early in the new millennium, she filed a lawsuit against Lloyd for failing to pay her $1.2 million in alimony over the course of 31 years.
Boyd said in her lawsuit submitted to the Manhattan Supreme Court that the actor had harassed and defamed her by saying she was a phony and a crook. Jane Walker Wood, Lloyd’s fourth wife, was named in the lawsuit by Boyd.
