American actress Catherine Ann Keener was born on March 23, 1959. She was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performances as Harper Lee in Capote and Maxine Lund in Being John Malkovich (2005).
Additionally, Keener starred in the critically acclaimed movies Into the Wild (2007) and Synecdoche, New York (2008). Keener has also been Nicole Holofcener’s well-known muse; she has appeared in each of her films to date.

Show Me a Hero, a six-episode HBO miniseries starring Keener, is based on Lisa Belkin’s nonfiction book of the same name from 1999.
It will debut in August of that year. Keener played the lead role in the independent movie Unless in 2016.
