French model Ines-Loan Rau was born in 1990. She was Playmate of the Month for November 2017 in Playboy magazine and the first openly transgender Playmate. Having been born in Paris, Rau is of Algerian descent. At age 16, Rau was inspired to transition and have sex reassignment surgery by the life story of English trans model Caroline “Tula” Cossey.
Rau started performing for DJs when she was 18 years old, and it was there that she first encountered David Guetta. She took her first naked photo with Tyson Beckford in 2013 for an article in the French luxury magazine OOB only a few months after coming out as transgender. At the time, she was 23 years old.
She first appeared in the “A-Z issue” of Playboy in May 2014 in a spread titled “Evolution,” which sought to draw attention to the expanding acceptance of gender identities other than the binary distinction between male and female.
