Andy Griffith was an American actor, comedian, television producer, and writer He was born on June 1, 1926, in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
He was famous for his signature Southern drawl, and his folksy-friendly personality. Griffith sadly passed away on July 3, 2012.

The late actor and his then-wife Barbara Bray Edwards could not have their own children so they resorted to adoption.
Andy and Dixie Griffith were both adopted by the couple. Griffith Jr. worked professionally as a real estate developer when he was alive. He died in 1996 from alcohol abuse.
Senior Griffith had a quadruple heart bypass procedure on May 9, 2000, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. His first significant medical issue was a diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome in April 1983, which left him unable to walk for seven months.
Griffith passed away from a heart attack on July 3, 2012, at his beachfront house in Manteo, North Carolina.
The underlying medical issues indicated on his death certificate were hypertension, coronary artery disease, and hyperlipidemia. No services were held at the time of Griffith’s death in accordance with his laid down wish.
He was buried at the family cemetery within five hours of passing away.
