As part of her guilty agreement for scamming hundreds of victims in a long-running telemarketing operation, Jennifer Shah, a cast member of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” was sentenced to surrender more than a dozen designer and knockoff purses, a fox-mink stole, and expensive jewelry.

In a press release, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss stated that Jennifer Shah, who presents herself as a wealthy and successful businessperson on “reality” television, and Stuart Smith, who is presented as Shah’s “first assistant,” are accused of creating and selling “lead lists” of innocent people for other participants in their scheme to repeatedly con people. “In actuality and as stated, the ‘business possibilities’ that Shah, Smith, and their accomplices pushed on the victims were really greed-driven con games designed to take their money. For their alleged crimes, these defendants now risk prison time.
