Corey Reynolds is an American actor best known for originating the role of Seaweed in the Broadway adaptation of Hairspray.
He is also known for his role in the TNT crime show The Closer.

At Paramount Kings Dominion, he made his acting debut in a variety of plays. During his time in California, he was cast in a touring production of the revue Smokey Joe’s Cafe. He was cast in the tour of Saturday Night Fever.
After this, he moved to New York City to audition for various shows. He was originally cast as part of Hairspray’s ensemble., however after three readings, he was later offered the role of Seaweed.
He has gone on to make appearances in films such as The Terminal, Red Tails, and Straight Outta Compton. He currently plays the role of Sheriff Mike Thompson in the SyFy comedy-drama Resident Alien.
