Qatari photojournalist Khalid al-Misslam has become the second journalist who has died while working at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. Al-Misslam was covering the tournament for sports broadcaster Al Kass TV. The circumstances of al-Misslam’s death were unclear but the announcement was made on the same day that a security guard was seriously injured when he fell at Lusail Iconic Stadium, the Guardian reported.
According to the Daily Mail, the news was confirmed by Al Kass TV, who only briefly mentioned his passing away in a live broadcast and appear to be waiting on further details. This event happened a few hours after Grant Wahl’s death. On Friday, December 9.
