As a forward and winger for La Liga club Atlético Madrid and the Argentina national team, Angel Martin Correa born March 9, 1995, is an Argentine professional footballer.
At the age of 18, Correa signed with Argentine club San Lorenzo, where he won the Torneo Inicial in 2013 and the Copa Libertadores in 2014. He signed a contract with La Liga team Atlético Madrid in 2015.
At the 2015 South American U-20 Championship, Correa captained the Argentina under-20 team to victory, winning player of the competition. He has been a consistent member of the Argentina senior team since 2015 and played for his country at the Copa América in 2021.
He was part of the squad that won the 2021 Copa América and was called up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad as an emergency replacement for the injured Nicolás González.
Due to their similar heights, Sergio Agüero and Correa have been compared. In a more offensive positional role, his playing style is more comparable to Carlos Tevez. Along with superb technique and terrific first touch, he also plays with good talent, pace, and a low center of gravity.
