He currently plays as an attacking midfielder and winger for Atlanta United of the Major League Soccer team as well as for the Argentina national team.
Thiago ‘Guayo’ Ezequiel Almada was born in Ciudadela, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 26, 2001. Almada spent a lot of his early years making extra money by selling fruit and vegetables door to door in the neighborhood of Fuerte Apache, which is known for its high rates of crime and drug use.
After a party in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, on December 4, 2020, Almada was identified as a person of interest by local authorities in February 2021. In a house Martin Lucero rented, a 28-year-old woman said she was sexually abused by several people.
After the investigation became public, both he and Miguel Brizuela were suspended by his club. “substantial modifications were generated by virtue of the incorporation of new evidence, expertise, and testimonies,” the club stated when Almada was reinstated a week after his suspension.
