Danilo Luiz da Silva, also known as Danilo, is a Brazilian professional footballer who competes for both the Brazil national team and Serie A club Juventus as a right-back. He was born on July 15, 1991.

A tireless right back with an attacking flair and polished technique, Danilo was compared to fellow countryman and right-back Dani Alves in 2012 by Marca, who also praised his ability to play as a sweeper and anticipate attacks.

At the age of just 20, Danilo made his international debut for Brazil on September 14, 2011, playing in the first leg of that year’s Superclásico de las Américas, a 0-0 away draw against Argentina.

The following year, he started for the under-20s at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which Colombia hosted and won.

Additionally, Danilo was included in Tite’s team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, making his competition debut on June 17 by playing the full 1-1 draw with Switzerland.
