Martin Erlic, a defender for the Croatian national team and Serie A team Sassuolo, was born on January 24, 1998. He began his youth career with Dinamo Zagreb. Before traveling to Italy to play for Parma and Sassuolo, he also spent time in Rijeka in Croatia as a young man.
He represented Croatia at the U17 and U18 levels, however he never played for Sassuolo’s first squad. Erlic did, however, take a season-long loan to play for Sudtirol of Serie C in August 2017. During that time, he made 30 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
