Miodrag Ješić joined Romanian Liga I newcomers CS Otopeni in June 2008, however, after a string of losses, his contract was prematurely terminated on August 18, 2008.
Miodrag Ješić agreed to a one-year deal with FK Budunost Podgorica of the Montenegrin First League in September 2008. He agreed to a one-year deal with Al-Ittihad Tripoli of the Libyan First League in July 2009. Al Ittihad defeated Tarsana 3-2 to claim the Libyan Super Cup on September 22, 2009.

After taking over for Stoycho Mladenov as manager of CSKA Sofia on January 7, 2013, Miodrag Ješić was unexpectedly relieved of his duties on March 11, 2013, just two games into his tenure, one of which the team won.
