Rapper Jasiel Amon Robinson, also known as Yung Joc, was born on September 20, 1980, in the United States. He gained the most notoriety with the 2006 single “It’s Goin’ Down.” on T-US Pain’s number-one hit “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” in addition to being a featured artist on it.
Robinson was given the opportunity to write a jingle for Revlon by his father, who owned a company that produced hair care products. Later, Robinson founded his own record company, “Mastermind,” to release his music.
The successful song “It’s Goin Down” was created by Robinson and Atlanta producer Nitti Beatz after they met in the spring of 2005.
Russell “Block” Spencer, the owner of Block Enterprises, signed Robinson to Sean Combs’ Bad Boy South for a sizeable sum of money after their collaboration. The same year, Robinson’s debut album, New Joc City, was released by Bad Boy.
