A British comedian, writer, and actor by the name of Michael James Wozniak were born on November 8, 1979.
Wozniak began performing live sketch comedy in the late 1990s and switched to stand-up in 2007. In 2008, he triumphed in the Amused Moose Laugh-Off competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The same year, he received a comedy newcomer nomination. In 2009, Wozniak gave a performance at the Adelaide Fringe. In 2013, Wozniak was a finalist for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show, but Bridget Christie won.
Wozniak’s first major television role came in 2013 when he was cast alongside Greg Davies, who created and starred in the show. He played Brian, Davies’ character’s friend and a strict financial adviser. For Sky Arts, he wrote Ruby Robinson, a physical comedy starring Kim Cattrall and an acrobat troupe. Wozniak appeared and finished second in Taskmaster Series 11, which premiered in March 2021. He has a long history with Taskmaster, having won the show’s original Edinburgh Fringe run in 2010.
