Leslie France is a film and stage actress with over 30 years of experience, most recently appearing in the critically acclaimed feature film Where the Crawdads Sing and co-starring in the television series The Resident and National Treasure.
She has also worked on independent films, including the lead role in Confession of a Florist, for which she received praise for her “soulful performance” (“Variety”). She has appeared in numerous plays on stage, including Look Homeward Angel, King Lear, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
France studied at the William Esper Studio, HB Studios, and the Asolo Professional Actor Training Program in New York City, where she studied under the legendary Jose Quintero. Growing up in New Jersey in a large Italian family of artists and educators, she crossed the George Washington Bridge on a regular basis to study dance, acting, music, and painting. However, it was a Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof that ignited her lifelong love of acting.
