Slaughter was born on June 3, 1980, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Drama and Communications. He studied at the British American Drama Academy (BADA).
In 2011, Slaughter co-starred with Zoe Saldana in the action film Colombiana, directed by Olivier Megaton and released by TriStar Pictures on August 26, 2011.
