Mills Bee Lane III was a professional boxer in the United States, a two-term district court judge in Washoe County, Nevada, and a television personality. He died on December 6, 2022.
He turned pro boxer while in college, earning a 10–1 (.909) record as a professional. Lane won All-Far East welterweights and National Collegiate Athletic Association titles before turning professional.
Nevada’s John Lane was elected District Attorney in 1982 and District Judge in 1990. Lane graduated with the class of 1970 and joined the bar in Nevada, practicing law at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. In 1979, Lane was Chief Deputy Sheriff of Investigative Services at the sheriff’s office.
