Pavel Nedvěd was born on 30 August 1972. He is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
He is regarded as one of the most successful players to emerge from the Czech Republic, winning domestic and European accolades with Italian clubs Lazio, including the last Cup Winners’ Cup, and Juventus, whom he led to the 2003 UEFA Champions League Final
Nedved began his football career in his home in Czechoslovakia where he was born on August 30, 1972, in Cheb and raised in the nearby town of Skalná.
He was always interested in football, and when he was five years old, he started playing for his hometown team, Tatran Skalná. In 1985, Nedved transferred to Rudá Hvzda Cheb, where he played for one season before spending five with Koda Plze. As part of his military obligations in 1990, Nedved was loaned to Dukla Prague, a club run by the Army.
